Natasha Hamilton was left feeling “violated” after she was ‘sexually assaulted’ on a rush hour train last night.
The Atomic Kitten singer, 36, was travelling on a Southeastern service from London Bridge to Elmstead Woods in south-east London when the alleged incident occured.
Sharing a photo of the man she claims is the perpetrator on Twitter, she tweeted: “This vile excuse of a man just had his penis pushed up against me while on the overground train from London Bridge heading to Elmstead Woods.
“I thought it was a bag until I felt him heavy breathing down my neck. I am appalled and calling the transport police when I get off!
“Honesty I am shaking and feel so violated now! But more than anything I am so angry!! I had the opportunity to take his picture before he left the train – this has to stop happening to people.”
The incident took place on 5.20pm on Wednesday evening when the train was busy with commuters returning home from the city.
Following Natasha’s tweet, the British Transport Police replied to her on social media, appealing for her to report it.
In a statement to Mirror Online, a spokeswoman said: “British Transport Police are aware of a report on social media of a sexual assault on a Overground train from London Bridge to Elmstead Woods yesterday (10/10/18).
“Officers are making enquiries into this incident as part of an investigation.
“We take every report of unwanted sexual behaviour with the utmost of seriousness – and through our Report It To Stop It campaign we are encouraging victims to come forward to tell us what happened. You can do this by using our simple and discreet 61016 text service or by calling us on 0800 40 50 40.
“Thankfully, the rail network is a CCTV rich environment and we use every opportunity to use this crucial evidence to help prosecute suspects. We also work tirelessly to combat sexual offences by running covert patrols across the rail network with plain clothed officers.”
Mirror Online has contacted Natasha’s rep for comment.
Natasha recently admitted she was considering having a fifth child with her fiance Charles Gay, who isn’t a father yet.
She has three sons Josh, 16, Harry, 14, and Alfie, eight, and daughter Ella, four, from previous relationships.
Although she became a first-time mum when she was just 20, the pop star admitted she was concerned about her declining fertility as she approaches her late 30s.
Writing in her Gurgles and Hurdles parenting blog, she said: “I always thought because I was such a young mum that my biological clock would be well worn out by my mid 30s. I am now 36, my partner of two and a half years doesn’t have his own children, so now it looks like we will be having a child closer to 40 than I thought.
“I know that I am in the so called ‘geriatric’ years for thinking of having another baby. But lets try to make this a positive experience for us future mums, something we can enjoy and be proud of, instead of turning corners during our pregnancy journey only to be faced with another depressing statistic driven article.”
