The first episode of WWE’s long-awaited NXT UK series will stream on the WWE Network next Wednesday.
The show will feature global superstars including present and former WWE UK Champions Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate.
They will be joined by the likes of Mark Andrews, Zack Gibson, Rhea Ripley, Toni Storm, Trent Seven and Wolfgang.
Mirror Sport can reveal the one-hour episode will first air on Wednesday, October 17, at 8pm BST (British Summer Time).
The hotly-anticipated showcase will be overseen by NXT UK general manager and British wrestling legend Johnny Saint.
Meanwhile commentators Nigel McGuinness and Vic Joseph will call the action, assisted by ring announcer Andy Shepherd.
Joining the NXT UK team as backstage interviewer will be Blue Peter presenter Radzi Chinyanganya, from Wolverhampton.
As well as working on the world’s longest-running children’s TV show, he is also known for hosting ITV gameshow Cannonball.
WWE superstar Triple H, aka Paul Levesque, the company’s executive vice president of talent, live events and creative, made the announcement in London.
He said: “NXT UK is the next step in our global localisation strategy and we are proud to do this in a place where WWE has had a special relationship for more than 30 years.”
Fans have been eagerly waiting to see a weekly show since HHH unveiled the plan after the first WWE UK Championship Tournament in January 2017.
Live dates followed at weekend events in Norwich and at Download Festival, before the second WWE UK Championship Tournament took place in June.
Triple H and the legendary Johnny Saint then announced the new NXT UK brand at the two-night competition at the Royal Albert Hall, ahead of TV tapings.
Episodes have already been recorded at the Corn Exchange in Cambridge and the Insomnia gaming festival at NEC Birmingham over the summer.
The male roster is expected to include Mark Andrews, Travis Banks, Tyler Bate, Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey, Joseph Conners, Noam Dar, Eddie Dennis, Jordan Devlin, Pete Dunne, Jack Gallagher, Sam Gradwell, Saxon Huxley, Amir Jordan, El Ligero, Dave Mastiff, Trent Seven, Ashton Smith, Tyson T-Bone, Flash Morgan Webster, Wild Boar, Kenny Williams and Wolfgang.
Meanwhile women’s stars anticipated to compete so far include Isla Dawn, Jinny, Killer Kelly, Charlie Morgan, Nina Samuels and Toni Storm.
WWE is also believed to be planning a UK-based training facility, similar to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, with British coaches trained by WWE.
