A shocking video appears to show a ‘drug-fuelled’ teen pulling a baby from a mum’s shopping trolley and throwing him on the ground.

The CCTV footage also shows the suspect, thought to be a 17-year-old boy, pulling down a sign in the supermarket car park where he attacked one-year-old Jensen Counts.

The heartless youth giggled when police caught up with him and questioned why he attacked the child, before telling them he had smoked marijuana laced with another drug, potentially PCP, also known as ‘angel dust’, or acid.

Fortunately the baby survived the attack in Edmond, Oklahoma, US, on May 24, suffering little more than a bruise.

Jensen was lucky to survive the attack with just a bruise

Jensen’s mum, Dusty, told KOCO-TV: “He was screaming. Naturally I got him out of the car seat as fast as I could, to make sure if he had bumps or bruises or was bleeding.”

The suspect reportedly exposed himself and jumped on cars before he was found by police.

He told officers to shoot him and then fought with them, according to reports.

After he was arrested he apologised to police and was taken to hospital, The Sun reports.

In a recording of a police phone call, an eyewitness can be heard saying: “I’m at Crest, a man just threw a lady’s baby out of the cart.

“You could hear the baby screaming. I’ve never in my life seen anything like that. It freaked me out.”

The suspect, whose name has not been released, has been charged with assault, assaulting police, indecent exposure, public intoxication and destruction of property.
