The I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! contestant’s husband, former TOWIE star Dan Osborne, was accused of having an affair with Gabby. Fitness instructor Gabby was quick to reassure the mum of two of her husbands innocence but in an interview with The Sun, Dan has explained how it still caused the couple to briefly break up.
He was also quick to clarify that his actress wife was in no way a “doormat” for eventually taking him back a few months on and insisted that the couple are stronger than before.
It is understood that Jacqueline, who owns here own acting academy, also messaged other suspected love rivals.
In an interview this week the star, who played Lauren Branning on the BBC soap, wanted to prove to fans during her time in the jungle that she is not a “pushover”.
Dan explained to The Sun: “Jacqueline has sent a few messages to women I’ve been accused of cheating with — I think any partner would do that — asking what had happened between us.
“I’ve told her I haven’t cheated on her, that I’ve just been out with those girls, they’re mates and that’s it. I’m a friendly person so I’ll go out and speak to people I get on with, male or female. That’s just what I’m like.
“But I get pictured with a woman and suddenly we’re getting cosy. With Gabby, I know the pictures didn’t look great because of the angle they were taken at, but there was nothing in it.
“And if Jacqueline really believed I had cheated on her, she wouldn’t be with me now because she wouldn’t stand for any crap, honestly.
“She’s no doormat. She’s a very strong woman. If anyone starts on her in the jungle, good luck! Trust me, I wouldn’t want to be them. She is very forward and will absolutely stand up for herself.
“I can’t wait for people to see the real her, because before now she’s always been either ‘Lauren from EastEnders’ or ‘the actress having marriage problems’.”
Dan married Jacqueline in 2017 in a romantic ceremony at Cheshire mansion. The couple have two children together: Ella, four, and Mia, one
However, Dan credits Celebrity Big Brother with saving his marriage as he was able to realise that he really missed being away from Jacqueline. Despite further accusations of cheating the Essex hunk is adamant that their relationship is all good now, and his wife is not worried about leaving him alone.
He jokingly told The Sun: “She was more worried about the laundry”, adding: “I’ve taken so much stick over the past few years but I’m not a bad husband. I’m not perfect but I’m all right. We do a lot to help each other.”
