Liam Payne and Naomi Campbell have been pictured together for the first time since their hot romance became official – despite them being desperate not to be caught on camera at the same time.
Ex-One Direction singer Liam and supermodel Naomi, who share a 23-year age gap, have gone to great lengths to avoid being papped together, despite turning up to the same showbiz events and going on secret dinner dates since late December.
And they’ve even been to Hong Kong together this weekend, while still refusing to speak about each other in public or discuss their romance in any way.
But Mirror Online has uncovered the very first picture of them taken since news of their relationship broke.
They both attended the BB FIA Formula E HKT Hong Kong E-Prix on Sunday, wearing matching denim outfits and even having the photos taken in the exact same pose and location – but separately.
However, our picture shows Liam, 25, wasn’t quite quick enough to dodge the camera lens as he hung back waiting for Naomi, 48, to have her photo taken with Formula E CEO Alejandro Agag.
Liam’s face can just about be seen in the background behind Naomi’s shoulder, as he chats to what looks like a film crew.
It’s further proof the pair are very much together, despite Naomi dodging questions about her love life on last night’s Jonathan Ross Show.
The supermodel told the host she would “never discuss her personal life” when quizzed about the Liam rumours, adding: “And? I never discuss my personal life. Another name?”
Jonathan then mentioned Canadian rapper Drake, to which she replied: “I never discuss my personal life.
“I mean, it’s crazy it’s like one day it’s one person, the next day it’s another. Who is tomorrow? That’s what I want to know…
“For me, I laugh. The stories are incredible, it’s humorous… I just get on with my life.”
Liam has been just as tight-lipped in public, even allowing himself to be papped kissing and cuddling his ex Cheryl at the Global Awards in London last week.
Fans noticed sparks flying between Liam and Naomi after he left a string of flirty messages on her Instagram posts, including “perfection in a person” and “don’t give me those eyes” on one of her selfies.
But it turns out the pair were already hooking up by the time they came to swap messages, as they were spotted on a secret dinner date in Ghana in December.
They spent New Year together in the African nation, dancing at a beach party until dawn, and were seen dining together a few days later.
And in January, they were spotted leaving a Davido Adeleke gig at London’s O2 – although they left flanked by security to deflect those pesky cameras.
They then attended a Vogue party after the BAFTA Awards in February , but left separately within minutes of each other to put witnesses off the scent.
Now it seems they’re enjoying a romantic trip to Hong Kong together – so it’s only a matter of time before their official announcement drops.
