WHETHER it’s through their Instagram account or humanitarian work, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle often pay tribute to Princess Diana in a number of public ways.
A source told US Weekly that Harry keeps a photo of his mother in Archie’s room at Frogmore Cottage as a small way of honouring her legacy.
Describing how the Duke “gets very emotional” talking about his mother, the insider said: “One of the things that first attracted Harry to Meghan was the way her kindness, determination and strength reminded him so much of his mum.”
Tomorrow marks the 22nd anniversary of Diana’s death – and the US publication reports the sad day will bring Harry and William closer after rumours of a rift.
The source added: “They talk about the little things about Diana that made them laugh, the ski trips and outings to Thorpe Park. The effort she went to on their birthdays – all of it.”
The insider also claimed the two brothers will meet by themselves first before “their other halves and kids join them later”.
“They always discuss Diana’s charity work and brainstorm ways they can continue her legacy,” the source explained. “Helping others and being a role model to those less fortune is at the top of their priority list.”
Earlier this week, it was revealed that Meghan will be visiting Diana’s grave for the first time with Harry and baby Archie on Sunday.
“Harry wants Meghan to see his mother’s resting place,” a source told the Daily Mail.
Diana was laid to rest in the middle of a island on a lake at her family’s estate on 6 September 6, 1997.
And to kick off their latest social media campaign of inspirational quotes, Meghan and Harry paid touching tribute to Diana on their Sussex Royal Instagram account earlier this month.
Harry and Meghan Markle chose a quote made by the princess of Wales about making “random acts of kindness” as the first in their inspirational series.
The quote, printed on a royal blue background under Meghan and Harry’s ‘HM’ monogram, reads: “Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you.”
The royal couple explained in the description that they wanted to begin their touching posts with a saying close to home for Harry – coming from his mother directly.
In more Royal Family news, Meghan Markle fans have gone wild over a 1962 Andy Warhol painting titled A Boy For Meg – not realising it refers to Princess Margaret.
And The Queen is said to have paid £500,000 for Sandringham repairs “with her own cash” after Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s £2.4m Frogmore Cottage upgrade.
Plus Meghan Markle’s favourite cocktail is claimed to be her own version of Pimm’s as she “loves all things British”.
