Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday sounded the 2019 Lok Sabha poll bugle from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s home state Gujarat. Addressing Congress’ Jan Sankalp Rally in Ahmedabad, Rahul Gandhi said that while (Mahatma) Gandhi and Gujarat built India, the BJP is trying to break it. Rahul Gandhi said unemployment has touched an all time high level under PM Modi’s rule, but he remains unaffected by the plight of youths. “Narendra Modi and hatred will lose 2019 polls,” Rahul Gandhi said.
Earlier, delivering her first public speech after being officially inducted in the Congress, party general secretary for Uttar Pradesh east Priyanka Gandhi accused the ruling BJP of practising politics of hatred and dividing people on communal line. In her debut speech in PM Narendra Modi’s bastion Gujarat, Priyanka said that the BJP is playing with emotions of people for political gains.
Do not get distracted with unwanted issues. You should realise what benefits you, how you will get employment, how women can be safe. I appeal to you to take your decision with caution: GS UP East @priyankagandhi #GandhiMarchesOn pic.twitter.com/6Tg5Y9vFqK
