Shayne Ward reveals incredible transformation for appearance in new horror movie

Celebrity News

If the last time you saw X-Factor winner Shayne Ward was when he played tragic Aidan Connor in Coronation Street , get ready for a shock.

The ‘That’s My Goal’ singer complained that the tempting food at the Granada canteen contributed to his three-stone wight gain during his time on Coronation Street but he’s back to his fighting weight now as he shows off a husky physique for his new role as archaeologist Dr. Giles Glover in new British horror film Skendleby.

Skendleby tells the story of archaeologists inadvertently reawakening an ancient curse while on a dig at Skendleby Hall in Lincolnshire.

Shayne says: Shayne said: “I am absolutely delighted to be joining a great cast and crew on an exciting new British film.

“The script is brilliant and I can’t wait to get going. I loved making my last film and the part I have landed has huge potential.

“I hope the film will be a big hit and I know audiences love the horror genre and will be keen to support an all-British project.”

Skendleby is Shayne’s second movie role and it follows significant praise for his work on the powerful Corrie storyline which saw his character Aidan take his own life.

Shayne said at the time: ”I knew when I took it on that it was more than just a storyline. This is affecting millions of people around the world every single day, and when I read the stats I couldn’t believe it.

“So when I’m getting into that place, it’s a really, really dark place which again breaks my heart. You feel that there is no light at the end of the tunnel. You feel lost, you feel hopeless, powerless, unloved and you feel like you can never make things right.”
