DIPAK Patel says he is quiet because there is too much noise on the political scene.
Asked yesterday why he has not been contributing to political debates in the country lately, Patel, a former Lusaka Central member of parliament, said it was better to be silent.
“It’s better [to be quiet!] There is too much noise. There is too much noise and I have got nothing to say (laughs). I don’t want to add more noise,” said Patel, a former commerce minister under president Levy Mwanawasa’s government.
Before going into political stillness, Patel worked as UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema’s campaign manager in the 2015 presidential elections as well as the 2016 general elections.
