An Air Canada flight en route to Sydney from Vancouver on July 11 was diverted to Honolulu, Hawaii, after experiencing sudden turbulence that rocked the entire cabin and left at least 35 passengers with minor injuries, CBC reported. Flight AC33 landed in Honolulu’s Daniel K. Inouye International Airport at 6.45 am local time, according to Hawaii News Now. Passengers described the plane suddenly dropping “about 100 feet” as it hit turbulence, with people thrown upwards toward the ceiling. Arrangements were being made for the plane’s nearly 270 passengers and 15 crew, Hawaii News Now reported.
