Warnings:

Extremely high fire conditions are expected over the western interior of the Eastern Cape, the interior of the Northern Cape as well as the interior of the Western Cape, including the Overberg district municipality.

Watches: 

Heavy rain is expected in the mountainous regions of the Cape Winelands and as well as the Overberg District of the Western Cape on Monday from early morning.

Localised urban flooding is expected in places in the Cape Winelands, Cape Metropole and Overberg Districts of the Western Cape early Monday morning.

Special weather advisories

Strong north-westerly winds are expected in places over the southern and central interior of the Northern Cape, the western interior of the Eastern Cape as well as the north eastern parts of the Western Cape on Sunday.

Weather forecast and UV index for all provinces

Gauteng: Fine and warm

UVB sunburn index: High.

Mpumalanga: Fine and cool to warm.

Limpopo: Fine and warm to cool. 

North-West Province: Fine and warm.

Free State: Fine and cool to warm.

Northern Cape:Fine and warm, but hot in the north.

Western Cape: Partly cloudy and cool but warm in the east where there will be strong winds over the interior. It will be cloudy in the west from the evening with light rain in the south-west. The wind along the coast will be moderate north-easterly in the south where it will become westerly to south-westerly from the afternoon, otherwise moderate north-westerly becoming fresh to strong in the afternoon.

UVB index: Moderate.

Western half of the Eastern Cape: Cloudy with mist in places in the south in the morning, otherwise fine and warm. The wind along the coast will be light and variable, becoming light to moderate north easterly in places from late morning.

Eastern half of the Eastern Cape: Partly cloudy with showers along the escarpment at first, otherwise fine and warm, but cool in places in the north. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate north easterly, becoming light to moderate south westerly south of Kei Mouth from the afternoon.

KwaZulu-Natal: Morning mist patches over the eastern interior, otherwise fine and warm. The wind along the coast will be moderate northerly to north-easterly.

UVB index: Moderate.
