Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the Karoo areas, Cederberg and Witzenberg of the Western Cape as well as the western half of Northern Cape.

Weather forecast and UV index for all provinces

Gauteng: Warm in the north, otherwise fine and cool.

UVB sunburn index: Very high.

Mpumalanga: Cloudy in the east in the morning with fog patches over the escarpment and south-western Highveld, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm.

Limpopo: Cloudy in the east in the morning with drizzle and fog patches over the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm.

North-West Province: Fine and warm.

Free State: Morning fog patches over the east, otherwise fine and cool to warm.

Northern Cape: Cool along the coast with morning fog, otherwise fine and warm but hot in the north. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly.

Western Cape: Cloudy and cool along the entire coastline with morning fog patches, otherwise fine to partly cloudy and warm. It will be cloudy over the north-eastern interior at first. The wind along the coast will be moderate easterly along the south coast, otherwise moderate to fresh south-easterly.

UVB index: High.

Western half of the Eastern Cape: Cloudy with fog patches in places south of escarpment in the morning and evening, otherwise fine and cool but warm in places. The wind along the coast will be light north-westerly in the east at first, otherwise light northeasterly becoming light to moderate easterly.

Eastern half of the Eastern Cape: Cloudy with fog in places south of escarpment in the morning and evening, otherwise fine and cool but partly cloudy along the coast and adjacent interior. The wind along the coast will be light north-westerly becoming easterly but south-westerly along the wild coast.

KwaZulu-Natal: Partly cloudy over the north-west with morning fog, otherwise fine and cool but warm in the north-east. It will become cloudy from the south-east in the afternoon. The wind along the coast will be Moderate south-westerly to southerly.

UVB index: Moderate.
