Thomas Tuchel has reportedly made a personal phone call to Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele.
The France winger has emerged as a target for PSG as talks over a return to the Nou Camp for Neymar continue.
PSG and Barca officials held a face-to-face summit this week as the La Liga champions presented their latest offer to re-sign the Brazilian.
While Barca are increasingly optimistic about striking a deal, it appears Dembele could ultimately hold the key to it going through.
Reports in Spain suggest PSG have rejected Barcelona’s latest staggering offer.
PSG want the entire transfer fee paid up but they may be willing to do business if Dembele heads to Paris permanently.
The 22-year-old is yet to be convinced about making the switch and his agent insisted this week that he would be staying with Barcelona.
But Tuchel has reportedly taken things into his own hands in an attempt to lure Dembele to Paris.
Le Parisien reports he called Dembele on Wednesday to try and convince him to sign, if Neymar moves back to Barcelona.
Tuchel worked with Dembele at Borussia Dortmund and despite a number of off-field issues, did get the best out of him.
Dembele’s form in Germany prompted Barcelona to fork out £105m for the winger’s services but he has not yet lived up to his promise with the La Liga giants.
